A severe heatwave is expected to grip most parts of Sindh province till May 31, with temperatures forecast to remain significantly above seasonal norms, according to the latest weather advisory.

Authorities warn that under prevailing conditions, temperatures may remain 4–6°C above normal across several districts.

Temperatures Could Hit 50°C in Upper Sindh

Maximum temperatures are likely to range between 47°C and 50°C in:

  • Sukkur
  • Shikarpur
  • Qambar Shahdadkot
  • Jacobabad
  • Larkana
  • Moen-Jo-Daro
  • Dadu
  • Shaheed Benazirabad
  • Ghotki
  • Khairpur
  • Naushahro Feroze

Meanwhile, temperatures between 44°C and 47°C are expected in:

  • Tharparker
  • Badin
  • Hyderabad
  • Matiari
  • Tando Muhammad Khan
  • Umerkot
  • Mirpurkhas
  • Jamshoro
  • Sanghar

The Karachi Division is expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions over the next three days, with occasional winds.

Winds are expected to remain predominantly West / Southwesterly during the forecast period.
