Islamabad: Pakistani consumers may receive further relief as petroleum prices are expected to witness another reduction in the upcoming fuel price review.
According to reports, declining international crude oil prices and favorable market trends could create room for a decrease in petrol and diesel rates. Officials are reviewing global oil movements before finalizing the next adjustment.
Recent weeks have already brought significant relief for consumers, with the government reducing petrol prices multiple times. Most recently, petrol and diesel prices were cut by Rs22 per litre, bringing petrol to Rs381.78 per litre and diesel to Rs380.78 per litre.
Energy analysts believe that sustained stability in international oil markets may support further reductions in fuel prices, potentially easing transportation costs and inflationary pressures across the country.
The final decision will be announced after the government’s periodic review of global petroleum prices, exchange rate movements, and applicable taxes.
