KARACHI: Summer vacation has officially commenced in the Sindh High Court (SHC) and subordinate courts across Sindh, with judicial recess scheduled to continue until August 2.

According to official details, special benches have been constituted within the Sindh High Court and lower judiciary to hear urgent, important and time-sensitive matters during the vacation period.

Special judicial arrangements have also been put in place for the SHC circuit benches in Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur, ensuring continued handling of essential legal proceedings across the province.

Under the vacation schedule, designated benches will conduct hearings daily from 9:30am to 1:00pm, while court office timings during the recess will remain 9:00am to 3:00pm, according to a circular issued by the Registrar.

A two-member Constitutional Bench led by Justice Saleem Jessar will hear constitutional and significant matters during the summer break. In Karachi, a two-member Regular Bench headed by Justice Arshad Hussain Khan will continue proceedings on assigned cases.

Meanwhile, Justice Omar Sial and Justice Yousuf Ali Saeed will continue hearing cases separately through their respective single benches during the vacation period.

The summer judicial schedule aims to balance the court recess with uninterrupted access to justice for urgent and essential legal matters across Sindh.
